This workshop aims at exploring the topic of 'Embodied Interaction & Embodied Intelligence' from a video-based and micro-analytic perspective. It will investigate how embodied interaction is organised both in face-to-face and remote environments. It will extend this perspective towards embodied intelligence focusing on ethnomethodological and micro-analytic studies on robot systems and artificial intelligence.
This event is part of a workshop series on 'Social Interaction & Technology'. Digital technologies feature in everyday life in various forms and shape the ways in which social interaction is carried out. Video-based micro-analytic studies contribute to a better understanding of how technology shapes and transforms conduct and communication. In interdisciplinary collaboration, conversation-analytic and ethnomethodological studies also contribute to the design and evaluation of novel technologies.
