This interdisciplinary symposium focuses on current developments, challenges, and future perspectives in science communication and science education, with a particular emphasis on the role of artificial intelligence. It aims to bring together researchers from different disciplines and projects, to present ongoing research activities, and to foster scholarly exchange.

The programme includes a poster gallery, keynote lectures, a panel discussion, and an interactive workshop, all addressing opportunities and challenges of using AI in science communication and science education. A joint dinner will provide additional space for informal discussion and networking.

The symposium is organised by the working group ‘Artificially Intelligent Communication of Science (AICOS)’, funded by the PostdocLab programme of the College for Social Sciences and Humanities (University Alliance Ruhr).

Organisers

PostdocLab working group 'Artificially Intelligent Communication of Science (AICOS)': Dr Valentina Nachtigall (Ruhr University Bochum, Educational Psychology and Technology) and Dr Maximilian Krug (University of Duisburg-Essen, Communication Studies)
